A 79-year-old woman has been killed in Fort Worth, TX after her car was truck from behind by a FedEx truck.

Fort Worth Police responded to the scene of an accident on Interstate 35W near the State Highway 114 intersection at around 11:00 a.m. Tuesday morning.

According to reports, the driver of a FexEx Ground delivery truck slammed into the rear of a white sedan on I-35W Tuesday morning, resulting in a chain reaction crash involving several additional vehicles. Police say that at the time of the truck accident, northbound I-35W (between Alliance Airport and Highway 114) was undergoing road construction on an exit ramp.

The driver of the white sedan, identified as 79-year-old Frances Brock (of North Richland Hills), was transported to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth, but tragically died from her injuries shortly after.

Police have not indicated whether or not they plan to bring charges against the truck driver, but it’s important to note that this fatal accident is still under investigation at this time.
